No matter their background, girls are powerful. When they’re educated, healthy, and safe, they transform themselves and their communities. When girls stand up for girls in need, they empower each other and transform our world.

Founded by the United Nations in 2010, Girl Up gives girls the resources and platform to take action for social change around the world.  Led by a community of nearly half a million passionate advocates raising awareness and funds, our efforts help the girls living in places where it is hardest to be a girl. For those who stand with us in this movement, there is not rest until we achieve equal rights; because when girl rise, we all rise.
